GL 02:55
I am growing old From talking to you Your hope’s a stranglehold A bottleneck too I am gravity- Hey fucker, I’m talking to you Now will you tell me the truth? Are you ever gonna get out of your head? And why are your eyes greying out now? You try to control yourself By scribbling down words But the longer you hide from it The larger it grows and grows and grows I can’t wrap my mind around how you choose Your lips are trying to move You laughed that morning when you puked in the dirt You’re a broken boy, and I know that it hurts And now that bleak compassion takes a stand And everyone is lesser than I don’t know you I don’t see you I don’t need to After the read through I’m so relieved to Just remove you And your molecules Let me tell you the truth You’re a secret toy, you’re the salt of the earth ‘I’m never going nowhere,’ that’s what you said to her You left her with a permanent scar You’re a big-hearted liar And you know what you are

Decisions aren’t that hard When all you’ve got to think about Is the life you’ve had so far Just to realize the things that you loved Were happenstance and objectively boring You’ve changed And it’s so sad You’ve changed And we feel bad The laughter of the past Has filled our hearts with sorrow It is what it is at last Just to open a drawer with a gift inside Meant for pleasure, but forcibly given back to us You’ve changed And it’s so sad You’ve changed And we feel bad

Figure 01:49
Those were just words, I know it Lost sounds that flew by in space Could not have been misdirected Felt like a slap in the face Is it the point of a story To draw a picture in flame? I grew a heart in molting Pleasure got beat down by shame Every last person on this big ole fat earth Was given a chance to make their own worth But those were just words, I wrote em Movements and shadows out my mouth Daunted and bored and faulty High hopes are bleeding me out Every crying baby, shut up Crowds in exodus all stuck in the mud Sickening prayers and poems Open doors slammed in a rage Take a good look at the mirror Only a figure in frame

After School 04:08
I was out front of your door Tryna figure what to do Take what’s mine, take what’s yours Laugh it off and play it cool No, I need to talk to you I’ll lie and say you dropped your ruler Thought I had my ducks all in a row When I saw you after school We were talking with our t-shirts out I bent down to tie my shoe All knots, nothing would come loose I saw white clouds on the move I looked up and squinted at you Hey, can you feel the light Breaking in from all sides? Have you ever seen such holy light? I think this must be some sort of proof Or I could just call you Some night or early afternoon Eyes closed, you say, ‘What’s stopping you?’ Well, I haven’t got a clue
